How an alert can be handled
An SOS or detected event can form the start of a configured response workflow. Who receives it, how calls are handled and what happens next depend on arrangements that must be confirmed.

A telecare operator can evaluate WPD-01 as the wearable device within an organized alert and response workflow. The operator must define provisioning, connectivity, alert recipients, call handling and escalation responsibilities. WPD-01 does not establish a complete monitoring service by itself.

How does fall detection work?
Fall detection evaluates movement for patterns that may indicate a fall and can initiate an alert workflow. WPD-01 product information lists fall alerts, but does not establish its detection algorithm, sensitivity settings or detection accuracy. Not every fall will be detected, and false alerts are possible.
How can a monitoring team test this workflow?
Define who receives an alert, who answers a call and how the response is recorded before testing a sample. Use supervised checks of SOS, voice and positioning in your intended environment; fall alerts do not guarantee detection of every fall.
